libmtdev1 software package provides Multitouch Protocol Translation Library - shared library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libmtdev1
libmtdev1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libmtdev1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libmtdev1 *
You will get with libmtdev1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
